Wesleyan College, the first college in the world to bestow degrees on women. Fourth in a series of twelve Georgia Historical Plates, commemorating the 200th anniversary of the founding of the State of Georgia by James Edward Oglethorpe. Made by Wedgwood exclusively for the Transylvania Club of Sandersville, Georgia, each plate is available in either rose pink or blue and is approximately ten and one-half inches in diameter. Each plate is backstamped with a short history of the subject.
